This article compares the different types of bags that are being used and which ones are better than others.  Paper bags are a huge cause of Global Warming because of the number of trees that are being cut down.  In plastic bags, the petroleum to create a bag is huge (14 bags is enough to drive a mile).  The compostable plastic is better than other bags but it does take growing and transportation to create.  Reusable PP bags is a great bag to help lower the price.  The canvas bags are great for the planet but they are more expensive for a person to buy (and then use).

I believe that we all should buy a few canvas bags and use them for a while.  They are the most helpful bags that are made for the Earth.  I think people need to realize that it is worth the money to pay for these bags because it will help change the planet.  At my house we use these canvas bags and they are easy to use and help slow Global Warming.

Not sure about the quality of this website–looks like it is selling something. Did you get it from SIRS or Groliers?

I found this website from the bottom of a Dierberg’s canvas bag. I thought the information on the website was informative even though they were advertising their bags.
